Question: My Camera and Microphone have been disabled within the extension, how do I allow access to these?
Answer: From the Extension itself you will be able to notice if your camera/microphone is disabled in your address bar at the top of your screen.
To manage these settings paste chrome://settings/content in your address bar and go into 'permissions' for your camera and microphone. Remove any blocked instances of the Searchie extension here.
Ensure that the Searchie extension app is under 'allow' in the appropriate areas
Question: The Extension is not allowing me to record in the 'fullscreen' view, what is happening here?
Answer: If you're on a macbook with the newest version of MacOS Catalina or if you're able to manage screen recording preferences through your device this is likely the issue here. This can typically be found in your computer systems preferences under 'Security and Privacy'
If Chrome is not in your list of allowed applications, the fullscreen recording function will not work with the extension.
Question: My File was unable to upload to your server, it displays as 'file has failed'
Answer: Usually if you encounter this sort of error your Searchie account likely does not have the amount of quota available for the video that you're trying to upload. If you meet this error you will likely need to upgrade or top-up your account. Then you will be able to retry the failed file from your notifications tab in the extension.
