What Is A Playlist?
A Searchie Playlist is a curated list of Searchie files that you can share with your audience. Playlists can be shared through the Playlist URL, embedded in another platform, or added to a Hub.
This article will help you get setup with creating and managing your own playlists inside of Searchie.
From the main Searchie homepage, click the playlists tab in the left navigation bar.
Now you're in the playlist section! Start by clicking the 'create new playlist button' or the + symbol if you've already created one before. You will be prompted to enter a playlist name (you can change this later) and just click on 'create playlist' again after you've chosen one.
Now that you're inside of playlists the next thing you can do is start to add videos. Click the big + button in the bottom right of this screen to get started.
You will now see the list of files in your account. Checkmark some to add and press 'add files' once you're satisfied with your choices.
Once you're files are in the playlist they will appear here. You can reorder them however you want by our sorting features! The video at the top will be the first in your playlist and the video at the bottom your last.
Now you can create a description for your playlist and upload a custom thumbnail for your playlist if you'd like. Using the tools here:
Once you have everything in your playlist setup, now it's time to embed it into your website!
Scroll down and at the bottom of the settings menu you will see the 'embed' button click here.
You will get two code sets that you can use to embed this into your website one responsive and one without ( there is a toggle here). The responsive one will try to optimize for smaller devices for your audience.
Now just click copy and you will have the code ready for your website!
