Uploading from Zoom requires a Zoom account on a Pro plan or above in order to import and upload video content, this allows for cloud recording and this must be enabled in your zoom account. Videos must be set to 'Viewers can download' for cloud recordings as well. Videos must also be set to public without password protect in order for Searchie to import them properly. You can change these settings back to private after Searchie is done importing your content. Important: Zoom Recordings that are 6 months or older will not show up in Searchie (limitation by Zoom).
This article will help you get set up with your Zoom content in the Searchie platform.
What you will need
- Searchie Account
- Zoom Account on a Pro Plan or Higher
- Cloud Recordings Enabled
- Viewers can download Cloud recordings Enabled
From the main Searchie dashboard, click the big + add media icon in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.
Now open up the 'upload from zoom' section.
Next, click on the 'connect zoom' account section.
Zoom will now prompt you to sign in to your account if you haven't already. Fill in the fields.
Zoom will now request you access to your account. Click 'pre-approve' and then an authorize button will appear afterward. Click that.
Your zoom account will now start appearing in the zoom account section.
The folders should now be automatically imported over and should start appearing in your folders tab with your zoom recordings in them. You're all set!
