This article will help you get started connecting your Vimeo account to Searchie so that folders can be imported directly from Vimeo into Searchie. You'll need an account access token from Vimeo.
What you will need:
Note: To pull videos from Vimeo, you must have a Vimeo account on a Pro Plan or above. There is a free Vimeo pro trial available for 30 days https://vimeo.com/upgrade?ctaTreatment=free_trial_primary
If you're able to configure the access token and get your content into Searchie before then, that will work.
Go to this link https://developer.vimeo.com/ and click 'New app' in the top right-hand corner.
Fill in the 'Create a new app' form and click 'Create App' once completed (app name and app description are up to you).
Scroll down to the authenticate section and fill out the generate access token section as follows:
Copy the API token that has been created below. Note that in this example, some of the token string has been blocked out for security purposes. Write it down somewhere if you want to use it multiple times, as Vimeo may hide it after connecting your account.
Head back over to the Searchie app and go to the upload media button (+) in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.
Next click on the 'Upload from Vimeo' button.
Click into the 'Connect Vimeo' button.
From here, fill out the box with the Vimeo token that you've copied from Step 4 and click 'Add Vimeo Connection' after.
You will now be able to see your available folders pulled from Vimeo that are ready for importing to Searchie. Select the folders that you want to be in Searchie and click the import button.
You're all set!
